It is not a pale imitation from inferior metals but created by a process used for millennia and still used by our craftsmen today.

The technique is called lost wax casting. Firstly, the design is modelled in wax before being wrapped in clay and dried. Once ready it is heated allowing the wax to pour out, hence the name ‘lost wax’! The cavity left in the clay is then filled by molten bronze.

Later the mould is broken revealing the bronze casting. Then a process of sanding, chasing and finishing begins to create the final article. A gentle patina will develop over time defining these as true heirlooms.

Cast in bronze, The Bronze River centre / Dining Table is an inspired design that has met with an amazing response. The round bronze base has an organic feel with its open casting, capturing the flow of a river. This is also reflected on the top of the table.

The finish of the Bronze River centre / Dining Table is a mixture of brushed and highly polished bronze. The top is shown in a clear glass. Add another layer of luxury to this design and specify the top in a grey smoke or bronze glass, supplied to order.

The Bronze River centre / Dining Table has a ‘base’ of 105cm diameter. We have shown this design to be used as a centre table. Should you require a larger top ideal for dining, or perhaps the base only please enquire, and we can quote for your requirements.
