WHO WE ARE

At Eccotrading Design London we strive to bring you exclusive and original, furniture, lighting, and decor that is produced to our own designs. We work only with trusted factories to produce our design to exclusive requirements. Our hand cast bronze and leather collections provide an amazing choice; a superb selection of case goods is available in a myriad of colours and finishes. Then layer your project with original art, sculpture and accessories.

Available only from us, we commission designs directly from artists with whom we have established long trusted relationships, many of which go back to our first days. Many pieces are available in a variety of colours, finishes, to complement any decor, while our seating collection is supplied in custom upholstery. We’re confident you will find the perfect pieces for your projects, and inspiration for many more. We can also offer a bespoke service on some elements of our collections.

Eccotrading Design London is recognised for great service, efficiency and supply, together with a personal and speedy response to all enquiries. Unlike many anonymous online companies we enjoy the interaction from enquiry to delivery with all our clients. We first started back in 2002 with a small showroom in Battersea. With our wonderful network of suppliers we have developed and expanded our unique brand. Now boasting two showrooms.

The Battersea showroom displays the majority of our current collections, whilst the new flagship showroom at the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour will showcase a carefully curated selection of our designs and limited edition pieces. It is the ideal place to see what’s new and also discuss your projects and requirements with us. For designers and professional companies, we offer trade pricing based on your credentials and opening an account. We understand accurate information and on-time delivery can make or break projects, and have a long history of helping designers source impeccable product for outstanding project completion.

MEET THE TEAM

Many of you know us very well! But for those that do not we thought a small introduction to our team, and some background into what we do may be of interest!

PATRICK GILL

I started with a background in the world of Antiques and selling Art Deco items at the original Camden lock market way back in 1979. It was different world there then, mud everywhere and an old London bus selling falafel and pitta bread. I still remember some of those pieces that I wish had kept.

For a long time I managed and sourced at the Dining room shop in Barnes, an amazing time with dealers coming in and out of the store with their wealth of knowledge, plus a constant flow of decorators from the USA.

After creating the company with Peter back in 2002, I have tried to maintain this approach; while designing collections that are unique injecting depth and interest to a designers project. Taking inspiration from my knowledge gathered over the years, and a history of design this approach seems to have worked out very well!

Today I still spend a lot of the working day planning new designs, pencil at the ready while gazing out across Dartmoor and waiting for doodles to become reality!

PETER MOLESWORTH

I am the head above the parapet, the face that clients see and love!!! Working with Patrick since 1999 and then setting up our company together. My role is building and nurturing client relationships. Not coming directly from a design background, my passion however has always been art and antiques; especially French 18^th century styles.

Starting my working life in the hospitality business, where the high expectations from customers had to be met. Establishments such as The English house and English garden, where Princess Margaret often popped in with her ‘courtiers’, taught me how to remain calm, and soothe things over should issues arise. A ‘hair in the soup’ or a chip in leg, I will find the resolution!

Enjoying the interaction on a daily basis with my ‘dahlings’ , should it be a showroom visit or a chat on the phone, I am always available to help and advise you on all aspects of our collections.

DONALD CLARKE

From New York to London! After being whisked from Manchester to the USA with my family back in the 70’s I decided London was the city for me, and returned 20 years ago. With a background in fashion and visual display today my job is to present our collections and showrooms, stimulating and engaging the imagination!! With such a diverse choice of designs it’s an easy task to create original and engaging vignettes!

With the fabulous choice available and new collections constantly underway I’m on hand to provide information and updates of our latest news.

CAMELIA PETCU

Hailing from Romania I moved to London a few years ago with my family. Studying and obtaining a degree in economics, but with a passion for design my life naturally moved in that direction! Now with a strong background in the luxury market and being able to exceed client’s expectations, I find myself heading up the showroom at the design centre Chelsea. Taking care of any requests received from clients, and also providing the information needed to make the correct selection to fulfil a project.

I am creating my own little domain here but my doors are always open to invaders!

VITOR RODRIGUES

Arriving from Brazil some years ago it was great to find a position with the company. All seemed set to continue smoothly until after 3 years family concerns required a move back to my hometown. Imagine my surprise after returning to London a few years later and to learn that my old position was becoming available again, and I was ready for it!

Everyday is a busy one for me, checking stock levels, ensuring the quality of items before dispatch, arranging deliveries and chasing up couriers to ensure deadlines are met. Oh yes and sometimes I have time to breathe!!

WAREHOUSE/QC MANAGER

THE SPRINGERS

We eagerly wait for every day and can often be found hanging out lethargically in one of the showrooms. We spring to action when needed to fulfil our only role, providing a warm welcome and allowing ourselves to be fussed over constantly. We are also partial to a treat or two!
