The bronze elements are meticulously crafted using the ancient lost wax casting technique – a time-honoured process that has been used by artisans for millennia.
The design is first modelled in wax, then encased in clay and fired to allow the wax to melt away. Molten bronze is then poured into the cavity, forming a solid cast once cooled. Each piece is sanded, chased, and finished by hand to achieve its distinctive texture and patina.
Over time, the bronze develops a gentle aged character, marking each chest as a unique heirloom.
