Finish

The Bronze Riverbed mirror is hand cast and available in two stunning finishes. Designed to complement the Wode bronze console, The Bronze Riverbed mirror also makes a dramatic impact if used alone. Shown here in bronze dorato. The Wode bronze mirror is also available in bronze nera which is a black hand rubbed finish.

Eccotrading Design London have created a ‘signature’ look with these exclusive bronze designs. Many of these provide masculine glamour. Others are softer and more graceful with an organic simplicity revealed only in silhouette. Bronze, with its bold timeless appeal, has a strength that is perceptible visually and to the touch.

This bronze collection is not a pale imitation from inferior metals but created by a process used for millennia and still used by the craftsmen of today.

The technique is called lost wax casting. Firstly, the design is modelled in wax before being wrapped in clay and dried. Once ready it is heated allowing the wax to pour out, hence the name ‘lost wax’! The cavity left in the clay is then filled by molten bronze. Later the mould is broken revealing the bronze casting. Then a process of sanding, chasing and finishing begins to create the final article. A gentle patina will develop over time defining these as true heirlooms.

The Bronze Riverbed in either finish is a sophisticated addition to any interior. This design is also available in the Wode bronze round mirror.

***Please note it is always a great idea when hanging metal, or any mirrors on painted or papered walls to offer some protection. Simply cover the area with some plain paper in the area for hanging and remove once done! Quick easy and prevents damage to any surface! ***
