The Timeless Art of Lost Wax Casting

Our bronze collection is not a pale imitation made from inferior metals. Rather, it is created using the lost wax casting technique, a process that has been used for millennia and is still used by craftsmen today. First, the design is modelled in wax before being wrapped in clay and dried. The heated clay allows the wax to pour out, leaving behind a cavity which is then filled with molten bronze. The mould is later broken, revealing the bronze casting. A process of sanding, chasing and finishing then begins to create the final article. Over time, a gentle patina will develop, defining these pieces as true heirlooms.
