Astor Nightstand Small Shagreen

The Astor nightstand shagreen is the perfect elegant bedside table to add into to a design scheme. The Oak wood is finished in our exclusive midnight colour, which is a warm and calming neutral. We cast solid bronze handles, which are finished in a gold ‘Dorato’.  These sit beautifully against the two shagreen drawer fronts providing another layer of discreet luxury.

Other accents seen on the Astor nightstand shagreen are the solid brass trim to the internal edge of the drawer fronts. Only seen when opened these surprise details elevate this design from the ordinary. Also of note are the graceful curves to the wooden base. The Astor nightstand, with its two spacious drawers and features a well proportioned top, has been designed to seamlessly suit both contemporary, traditional, and classic interiors.

The Astor nightstand shagreen provides enough space to display lamps and a selection of nighttime reading! The two deep drawers provide excellent storage, what’s not to like! This design is available in two widths. The 60cm as shown, or 80cm where space maybe more generous.

It is a great idea to combine the Astor nightstands with other items in the collection, perhaps the bedside tables, sideboard cabinets or chests of drawers. These are available with and without the matching shagreen detail.

We endeavour where we can to create stylish and environmentally friendly collections. Using reclaimed oak to create veneers allows us to incorporate this into our designs. The Renmin, Astor,Avalon and Arden collections all benefit from this technique. The results ensure no two items are identical and the wood will display varying patterns, both open and closed in the grain. Other inflections may also be apparent and are entirely consistent with the contemporary weathered appearance.
